The food was good and we enjoyed the xmas decorations. The location was also convenient as it was near a famous river.
The rooms were too small and we were disappointed to have been given a room in a modern annex. Breakfast was not served in the traditional Dutch style, with a large assortment of goodies to select from.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was very clean and had great facilities, including parking and transportation options. The location near the famous landscaped gardens and the river Ijssel was fantastic. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff was very helpful. The red walled restaurant was a romantic and enjoyable experience.
Nothing could have been better.

Historic location near famous gardens, excellent Dutch menu, superb Korenwijn selection, autumnal chestnut bombardment, stylish veranda. Nice bunch of people.
Not one thing.

We recently stayed at a historic hotel/restaurant located near famous landscaped gardens, with superb Dutch cuisine and a stylish veranda overlooking an autumnal chestnut bombardment. We enjoyed the exquisite classical garnaal kroketten and superb Korenwijn selection. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the red walled restaurant was charming. Service was pleasant and attentive and we appreciated the historic location.
The food was brought to our table, causing a waste of uneaten food and making us wonder if the food was reused from previous guests. It would be better to display food on one table and allow guests to choose, as is customary in Dutch breakfasts.

Found the perfect hideaway to spend our long weekend break! We were delighted with the historic charm of the buildings and the beautiful gardens around the place. The Dutch cuisine was a clear highlight of our stay, we loved trying the classical garnaal kroketten and the autumnal chestnut bombardment at the stylish veranda.
Our room was not in the old building, but in the modern annex, and it was uncomfortably small. We also didn't like being served breakfast at our table.
